Activity description

Muttontown Preserve is perhaps the best hiking location for kids on Long Island. It has everything.

We’ll meet at 4:00 PM at the Bill Paterson Nature Center (only 15 minutes away) for a 2.5 mile hike with easy, mostly-flat terrain. We’ll stop en route to climb trees, walk on fallen logs, learn about the ice age, and explore the ruin’s of King Zog’s palace. We’ll be back to the nature center at 4:30 PM and will head out to pizza afterward for those interested.

The walk is an easy 2.5 miles. Younger siblings need to be able to keep up with our 5th and 6th grade Club members. If your daughter wants to attend but you cannot, please sign her up and we will arrange rides.
